El Capitan 10.11.3 has broken AFP connections to my QNAP NAS

All,

After installing the latest El Capitan Update (10.11.3) my iMac now has broken its AFP connections to my two QNAP NAS’s. All software is up to date on both NAS’s also (4.2.0).

The iMac looks for the directories but seems to hang trying to get the directory and file info. (Spinning colour wheel)

I would Time Machine back to before the upgrade, but my Time Machine backups are stored on the QNAP, which it can’t access.
