My Macbook pro (mid 2010) had slowed down considerably with the upgrade to El Capitan. I ran Etrecheck as suggested in other posts and have pasted the output below. suggestd takes a load of cpu time but when I bring up activity monitor, I can see that it has gone down in terms of cpu usage. The problems are mainly around considerably slower boot time and considerably longer application launch time.
