Wi-fi not working (MBP 15 inch, Late 2011, El Capitan 10.11.1)

A couple weeks ago, my wi-fi started cutting out intermittently and causing kernel panics. Then, it just stopped working completely and tells me that “no hardware is installed.” I’m confident this is a hardware issue, because I tried putting in new memory and a HDD with a fresh install of Mac OS on it, but the issue persisted. I also tried booting to a live Linux CD, and it couldn’t find the wi-fi card either. Then I ordered a new airport card and installed it. I thought that fixed the problem, since my wi-fi worked for about 5 hours without dropping out. But, after restarting my MacBook a couple times, it was back to “no hardware installed.” At this point, I’m thinking that the issue is either the logic board or the actual wi-fi antenna located in the hinge of the screen.

Any ideas? (Btw, my warranty/Apple Care is expired, so something like a logic board replacement would be probably unjustifiably expensive. I’d like to not have to buy a new MacBook, since this one works awesomely well minus the wi-fi)

Once again, I have a Late 2011 15 inch MacBook Pro, serial number C02GP1TDDV7L.
