What happened to the Empty Trash Securely option with El Capitan? As soon as I upgraded to El Capitan from Yosemite, the erase securely option is nowhere to be found. I’ve tried searching the support forums and many search engines and related queries but nothing comes up. (The only thing I could find was someone was upset because their device would only erase securely). I thought maybe that was the case with my 2013 MBP, but when I empty the trash it takes less than 1 second to compete the task. Under Finder preferences, the box to check to empty trash securely is also gone. Is this feature of erasing securely as a built in feature a thing of the past?
