Installed bootcamp and windows 10 on my iMac, went through with no issues. About 20 minutes into having the new OS open the windows logo started to bleed down the middle of the iMac Display. So i rebooted and now the display is less than half visible and the other half is all sorts of distorted.
This occurred after i installed bootcamp through bootcamp assistant in El Capitan. My secondary display works with no issues.
Troubleshooting already preformed:
1. Cleared the SMC
2. Command + Option + P +R at boot several times
3. Verified Color reads iMac in the display properties
4. Booted into safe mode
5. Reinstalled from recovery menu OS X El Capitan
6. Re-seated the display port cable on the logic board
Right now i’m assuming the display needs to be replaced which i can do however it seems odd that this would happen after installing bootcamp.
1. Is there a known issue with El Capitan and bootcamp on a similar model iMac?
2. Is there anybody else that has experienced this same sort of problem with Bootcamp and El Capitan with a similar model of iMac?
